No Need for an Alarm Clock

While hiking up Enchanted Rock yesterday, we passed a fellow hiker.  He said, “Good morning.  Or is it afternoon?”  I replied, “I don’t know but how fabulous is it not knowing and not needing to know? Even better, I’m not even sure what day it is!”

There are many wonderful parts of this trip and I must admit, not working is one of them.  I get up for the first time in my life without an alarm clock. Very few commitments, no real time schedule or deadlines, few pressures.  Just being, breathing, observing, experiencing.  I’m not sure how I got so lucky to be able to enjoy this and do so now.
